We have sought to equip our home to a high standard and to anticipate your needs by providing all the things you might want for a luxurious stay.  Hair dryers and pool towels are provided as standard and a washing machine is available so that you don’t have to worry about luggage restrictions.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO THE VILLA

At the exit of the airport, turn left at the traffic lights, heading in the direction of Rhodes Town.

At the next traffic lights, turn right. You are now heading from the west of the island, over to the east.

Follow this road to the end, going straight ahead at the traffic lights, at the crossroads.

At the end of this road, turn right at the traffic lights, heading south down the dual carriageway, named EO95, in the direction of Lindos, continuing along this road passing through Faliraki, Kolymbia and after the first entrance for Archangelos Town, for 21,3 km in total.

Turn left and after 400 m. you will see Villa Evelyn on your right.

Slide the black gate to enter the property. At the main door’s left side you will see a control panel.

 

Enter the code 155012 then OK and turn the door knob to enter the villa.

 

CHECK-IN TIME

Check-in time is 2pm. We can sometimes arrange an early check-in so please contact us if you will arrive early and we’ll do our best, without any promises! We suggest you refer to the section on what to do if you arrive early – there is plenty to keep you entertained!

 

PARKING

Parking is provided on site for free.

 

DEPARTURE INFORMATION

 

CHECK-OUT PROCESS

When you leave, please ensure the following simple tasks are done:

 

  • Turn off all lights & appliances & return any moved furniture back to its original spot.

  • Air-condition units should be turned off.

  • Be sure to wash all dishes

  • Take kitchen garbage out to the outdoor trash dump sites and place into the dumpsters (Big green plastic bins on the streets every 100m. or blue for recycling)

  • Please pile used towels on the floor in the bathrooms

  • Close and lock all windows and doors.
  • Leave the keys in the masterlock.

CHECK-OUT TIME

Check-out time is strictly 10am. Should you require a later check-out we will do our best but you need to let us know beforehand. If we have guests arriving that day it will be almost impossible to offer a late check-out due to the cleaners needing to prepare for those guests. In that case, you can can spend as much time as you like at the Mikri Poli Resorts using your free access to the Waterpark (Pool and shower towels provided at the reception)

CLEANING

You will find the house clean on arrival but please let us know if you are not satisfied. For stays of 1 week there is no cleaning service. After you depart our cleaners will perform that for the next guest. If you are here for two weeks there will be one clean, usually on the middle of your reservation dates. They have a key and will access the house at some point during the day, but not before 10am. If you need a cleaning service more often, please let us know and we will arrange this. An extra payment will apply. On departure it is very important to leave the house (particularly kitchen contents and bbq/grill) clean and tidy. No need for you to perform a full clean! Attention! If you leave behind unwashed dishes or garbage you could be charged with extra cleaning fees.

GETTING YOURSELF ORIENTED

OVERVIEW OF THE AREA

The villa is situated within walking distance from Arhaggelos centre, one of the largest and most picturesque historic communities of the island. The city was named after the Archangel Michael, who is also its’ Saint-Patron and it is a well-developed area with many conveniences available such as shops, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, pharmacies. ATMs, public transport etc. Close to the village, you will find the cave of Koumelou. while the nearest beach, ideal for children, is Stegna, at a distance of 2 km from the center. The village has lush vegetation with fields of orange trees. Nearby you will also find Charaki beach, with its’ quiet atmosphere and clear waters. You can have fresh fish here and you can make a visit to the castle of Feraklou.

SUGGESTIONS IF YOU ARRIVE EARLY

Many guests will arrive before the designated check-in time. The good news is that there is plenty to do. You can can spend as much time as you like Sunday Hotel in Ixia using the pool area for free. (Pool and shower towels provided at the reception).

ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION

APPLIANCE INSTRUCTIONS / INFORMATION

 

AIR CONDITIONING

Our home has the benefit of air conditioning. Every bedroom has its own AC unit easily handled by remote controls that are located on the bedside tables. Please ensure that all windows and outside doors are closed whilst the AC is running to ensure it operate to maximum efficiency. We recommend a setting of [72F / 22C] which we find keeps the place sufficiently cool. Please acknowledge that operating AC units in lower temperatures for many hours continuously will damage the units causing expensive repairing costs as well as not being able to enjoy it until a specified technician fixes it. That could take more than a day.

 

CENTRAL HEATING

You can use the AC units to warm efficiently every room.

 

HOT WATER

The house has installed solar panels. In case of a cloudy day, or in case you spend all the hot water there is a switch for the water heater on the electrical board which is located on the top floor next to the bathroom.

 

KITCHEN EQUIPMENT

 

The Fridge/freezer:
You should not need to adjust any settings. If you run into any difficulties (e.g. it’s not cooling efficiently) please let us know.

 

The Hob and Oven:
The hob is a four electric hob, and the electric oven and grill is normal width. When grilling please leave the door open.

The Dishwasher:

It’s very simple, we promise! You will need to insert one tablet into the flip box container on the inside of the dishwasher door. Then press the program button of your choice – there are a few settings which are obvious – then press the start button.

LAUNDRY APPLIANCES

We have a washer located in the laundry room on the top floor. To operate the machines, simply select the program you want, place the detergent in the tray, close the door, and hit start.

 

SECURITY

The property has smoke detectors.

Whenever you leave the property we strongly suggest you lock all doors and windows. This is a safe area but it always pays to use all the available security features. There is a safebox in every bedroom (ask the agent for the code).

 

BREAKAGES

We understand that sometimes accidents happen! Should you break anything please let us know immediately – if it’s minor we usually won’t charge. If it’s a larger issue (e.g. the TV screen!) we would like to agree the cost with you before you leave to avoid any issues later. Thank you!

 

The Villa is Self-catering, Self-catering means that you do everything for yourself. You make the beds, clean the bathrooms, buy the groceries, etc.

BOOKS

There are a few books in English to enjoy.

 

 

TELEVISION / DVD SYSTEM

An LCD TV and a DVD player are located in the living room. There is also a satellite receiver giving you access to all free channels.

 

MUSIC SYSTEM

Through the satellite TV, YouTube or connecting your own USB storage disk, you can listen to any music you like.

 

ENJOYING YOUR TIME OUTSIDE

 

The pool lights as well as the garden lights operate automatically on a timer-based schedule.

 

POOL EQUIPMENT

Each guest will have his personal pool towel.

 

 

GRILL / BBQ

The BBQ works with coal. You can buy some from the local Supermarket as well as fresh meat.

 

 

SWIMMING POOLS

We have two swimming pools (One normal depth and one for children) available for your use. If you encounter any issues with cleanliness or notice any faults, please let us know asap. Please also pay special attention to the safety rules which are next to the pools.

 

 

 

OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION

 

BED LINEN / TOWELS

You will be provided with a set of body and face towels for each guest as well as a pool towel. Also an extra set of bed linen and blankets will be available.

 

GARBAGE DISPOSAL & RECYCLING

In a small distance outside the villa you will find big green plastic garbage bins for public use. You can also find such bins on all streets every 100m aprox. Wherever you see blue coloured bins are for recycling. (Plastic, paper, aluminium, etc)

 

WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF A POWER OUTAGE

In case of a power outage please check carefully the power panel that is located near the ground floor bathroom as well as on the first floor. Make sure that all fuse switches are flipped on except the Water Boiler switch. If everything is normal there, then probably it is an area problem and not a house issue. These area power outages usually don’t last more than 30 minutes to 1 hour. Please be patient. If the power outage lasts longer, let us know to check with the authorities.

COMPLEX / SUBDIVISION RULES

Please always respect that there are other houses around with families. No parties or loud music or yelling will be acceptable at any time.

 

PETS

Pets are not allowed to avoid allergies issues with future guests.

 

QUIET TIMES

From 14:00 till 18:00 and from 22:00-08:00 it is illegal to have loud music or noise, singing, yelling, etc.

 

SMOKING POLICY

Smoking is only permitted outside the villa. Please don’t throw your cigarettes down or in the pools. Always use an ashtray.

 

LOCATION OF FIRE EXTINGUISHER

You will find a Fire Extinguisher in the kitchen.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ

  • Do not put paper, nappies etc. down the toilet please use the bin provided.

  • Our satellite TV provides all the channels but there are channels for adults only, so please take care is you have small children.

  • Please use shower before entering the swimming pool

  • No food and drinks in the pool.

GENERAL
Do not exceed the number of people specified on your booking confirmation. Be considerate of your neighbors, avoiding loud music and other noises particularly between 10 pm and 8 am. House parties are not allowed without our prior consent.

DAMAGE CLEANING AND INSURANCE
Guests are personally responsible for all damages on the property. Please report all damages and breakage as soon as possible. If you note any damage upon arrival inform the agent at the same time, otherwise you will be charged for that damage! The agent will visit you at the last day to check the property for damages and cleaning. The house has to be clean, as marked in the check-out rules, otherwise there will be charge. In case any damage is found by the agent or by the cleaners the same or the next two days after your departure, a damage fee will be applied! Of course we are always flexible and open to discuss any situation that occurs.

CHILDREN
Children should be under constant supervision of adults especially during risky activities like using the swimming pool.

PLANTS AND GARDEN
Do not damage any plants or grass. There is a gardener who takes care of them usually once a week. Do not park vehicles on the grass or garden.

USE OF AIR CONDITIONING AND OTHER ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT.

Use the air condition only with the door and windows closed. Turn it off when you leave the house. Also please make sure that all electrical equipment is turned off when you leave the property.

BARBECUE AND FIREPLACE
Keep the fire under constant supervision and control. Everything around is very dry during the summer and easy flammable. Use a small amount of water to safely turn off the fire in the outdoor barbecue after use.
